It’s interesting to learn about the different businesses that we work with and chatting with clients about their industries.
Why did you become a bookkeeper?
I worked in management until my son was born, and decided that it was time to pivot to a new career. Working with numbers had always been my favourite part of the job, so working in accounting was the logical next step.

My beautiful little family.
What do you do with your spare time?
Baking, cooking, reading, binge-watching HBO shows.

What is the best thing about your job?
I enjoy working with numbers and constantly learning about how different businesses operate.
Why did you become a bookkeeper?
I started postsecondary with the goal of receiving a degree in marketing, but I excelled in my first year accounting course when many of my classmates were struggling. So the next semester I switched into the accounting stream and have never looked back.

Why did you become a bookkeeper?
I have loved working with numbers for as long as I can remember; they just make sense!
What you like about your job?
I particularly enjoy the variety of the job. I also love that I can stay home with my dogs while I work!
What are you proud of?
Graduating college, getting 99% in one of the math courses I took in high school, and winning 2 spelling bees in my younger years.

What is the best thing about your job?
I enjoy tackling complex and challenging tasks—especially when numbers can help explain issues clearly and help the clients make better decisions. There’s real satisfaction in using numbers to solve problems and support business improvement.
Why did you choose this profession?
In my first year of college, I realized I had an interest in accounting—excelling in courses that others found difficult. That early success motivated me to dive deeper into the field and build a career around it.

Why did you become an Administrative Professional?
I have worked in an office setting for most of my career, and once I got a taste of the accounting side of a business I was hooked.

I just completed the Bookkeeping course at Fanshawe College along with the completion of the Payroll Compliance Professional course through the National Payroll Institute.
