Elementary School Teacher.

What is the best thing about your job?

I enjoy working with numbers and constantly learning about how different businesses operate.

Why did you become a bookkeeper?

I started postsecondary with the goal of receiving a degree in marketing, but I excelled in my first year accounting course when many of my classmates were struggling. So the next semester I switched into the accounting stream and have never looked back.

Movie: Planes Trains & Automobiles. Book: Actually a book I am reading now called Three Ring Circus. Band: Good Charlotte

Completion of my Bachelors Degree in Accounting

What do you do with your spare time?

Play various sports, Camping, Hiking, Video games.

I have loved working with numbers for as long as I can remember; they just make sense!

What you like about your job?

I particularly enjoy the variety of the job. I also love that I can stay home with my dogs while I work!

What are you proud of?

Graduating college, getting 99% in one of the math courses I took in high school, and winning 2 spelling bees in my younger years.

My guilty pleasure TV shows are the cheesy reality shows such as Love is Blind, The Circle, etc.

What is the best thing about your job?

Bookkeeping is like a big puzzle, it’s satisfying when all the pieces fit.

Why did you become a bookkeeper?

I actually started school hoping to get into management, but fell in love with my bookkeeping class and switched programs.

Where have you lived?

Aylmer, London, St.Thomas & 3 months in Steinreich, Chihuahua, Mexico

What was your dream job growing up?

I wanted to be a fashion or costume designer.

What is your favourite movie/book/band?

Movie: The Boondock Saints. Book: Sooo many! The Story of Beautiful Girl is high on the list though. Band: Streetlight Manifesto

What are you most proud of?

My volunteer work. I volunteer with a local non-profit (The Nameless), our focus is harm reduction. We provide sterile supplies to people who use drugs, as well as Naloxone (a life-saving opiate blocker), food, water, clothing, hygiene supplies, as well as a huge helping of love and support.

What do you do with your spare time?

Volunteer, Watch Netflix, Read, Knit
